We are actively searching for the perfect locations for our film! Although there are many factors that will impact our final decision, we are generally seeking a location that is in close proximity to a major airport, has adequate hotel rooms, with minimal travel time between the hotel(s) and the various designated shooting locations. We are seeking a pool of local skilled labor to draw from, and respect for rule of law if we were to film at an off-shore location.

Top-side, we are seeking sandy beaches with unrivaled sunrises and sunsets for those magic-hour shots. Our principal topside location is a weathered-looking marina with lots of personality. Our ideal underwater locations have gin clear water, schools of colorful fish, and maybe a shark or two. Ideally, the water should be flat, as swells make filming difficult.

Have a location in mind? Contact us!

Today’s Internet users are no longer forced to “listen.” They actively participate and collaborate.
They create their own content — on millions of blogs and MySpace™ pages, in YouTube™ videos and RSS podcasts, in Wikipedia™ entries and product rating sites.

They are the “Millennial” generation: consumers who’ve been online since childhood, and are highly visual, intolerant of delay, and deeply unimpressed with “typical” internet marketing. For them, the Internet is not merely an information source: it is fundamentally
social.

So, how do you get their attention?

You need to surround them in their areas where they “hang out”. Whether that means posting some “cool” story on digg, having a MySpace profile that allows them to interact with the characters of the film, or having some land in “Second Life”, you need to engage them in a non-intrusive way that they prefer.

Have you gone mobile? Is your site easily viewable on a cell phone?

People consume content in different ways. Some prefer to read, some like to listen to a podcast while they jog or exercise, and of course, movie trailers are always effective - as long as they appear on YouTube as well as the movie’s main site.

This is where that coveted target audience lives, and if you truly want to create buzz for your project, you must be found in these areas.

A major problem with filming underwater is the placement and lighting of underwater sets, especially in the natural environment. In the ocean, it’s a tedious and physically demanding process, and as a result, and takes a lot of time and is very expensive.

You can shoot in a water tank and establish a little more control, but the results — unless they are close-ups — are normally less than optimal. Shooting in the ocean under ideal lighting conditions will typically produce the best results.

In order to overcome this challenge and save substantial time and dollars, the Whisper production has designed and will build an innovative 60-foot submersible platform for filming underwater sets. While the platform is topside, the sets and lighting will be placed on it, tested and tweaked. Only when the lighting is correct and everything is in place, will the platform descend to the seafloor for filming. The submersible platform will be brought back to the surface for any major changes in sets or lighting. (more…)

Everyone knows the impact Google has had on both the Internet and the real world. With Google trying to actively list and maintain all the touch points to any piece of information, it only makes sense that Hollywood would have issues with Google and the other search engines.

People want information and access to anything instantly. Google feeds this desire by returning blazingly fast results anytime someone enters a query into the site. It’s from this ability to be only one click away from a competitor is what frightens Hollywood so much. (more…)

You know the drill, that’s how you promote a movie. Spend upwards of 1/3 of the entire production cost, and the viewers will come. It’s just about automatic. (more…)

A basic Hollywood tenet is that there are bankable stars that will guarantee a revenue floor and a film’s success.

Nothing could be further from the truth. If stars truly bring a revenue floor to a film, then how does one explain the dismal failure of such star driven vehicles as Robin William’s Hook, Jim Carrey’s The Cable Guy, Sandra Bullock’s Speed II, Robert Redford’s Havana, Bruce Willis’ Hudson Hawk, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Last Action Hero, Kevin Costner’s The Postman, Tom Cruise’s Born On the Fourth Of July, Sharon Stone’s Basic Instinct II, and Julia Robert’s Mary Reilly. (more…)

A key principle of our business model is to avoid the systemic problems that plague the film industry. In today’s Hollywood, movie budgets are frequently out of control and productions are often being swept away in a tidal wave of cost.
